Opinion reads: During the Dover brouhaha, proponents of intelligent design were accused of being “creationists” solely because they disputed the notion that the chance interactions of unguided forces of nature alone account for all of evolution. Brown says: “It’s obvious God works through evolution.” What’s obvious is that there’s some misunderstanding about the meaning of “unguided” forces of nature and the role chance actually plays. I.D. scientists believe evolution occurred, but don’t think random mutation and environmental culling are sufficient to account for every step. Illogically, Judge Jones ruled that students could not be informed in science class of the lack of hard scientific evidence supporting Darwin’s theory or the leaps of faith faithful Darwinists routinely make.
