Cancer-causing strawberry pesticide


Article reads: The recently approved strawberry pesticide methyl iodide has been called “one of the most toxic chemicals on earth” by Dr. John Froines, UCLA Professor of Environmental Health and Chair of California’s independent scientific committee established to review the chemical.

    Pesticides are definitely a concern, especially since spring is strawberry season and most people aren’t aware of the toxic chemicals used to grow the shiny red berries. And unfortunately, it is common “knowledge” that washing fruit gets rid of pesticide residues. Not true:
